Confused about reddit 6day pPL

If I can do the 4x5, 1x5+ OHP pretty easily with something like the bar and 2.5kg on each side. But when it comes to doing OHP with the same weight, 3x8-12, I struggle a lot more and can barely do it. Am I supposed to use lower weights on the hypertrophy excercises?
