I've been lifting off and on for a couple years. Finally just really started taking it seriously again after a really long pause.
My last session I deadlifted 220 for 1x5 and felt like it was starting to get really difficult. I feel like this is super weak compared to where I'm at with the rest of my lifts and wondering if my form or grip is off somewhere. Im doing GSLP with the last set being 1x5+
My current PRs on the 1x5+ sets:
Bench: 140 x 8
Squat: 190 x 8
OHP: 95 x 6
Rows: 100 x 6
I haven't failed on deadlifts yet but I feel like its coming and when I see people lifting 315 and I feel a failure coming sometime between 225-240 I feel like I may be doing something wrong. Is this a normal point for failure and a deload? I realize this is kinda a dumb question since everyone is different and im not including a form video with the question, but if it helps my fiancee lifts with me and assures me my form is good but shes not a pro by any sense.
I never feel any pain after deadlifts but my lower back / spine feels kinda cramped up like I need to stretch after a set. Not sure if that's normal or an indication that something is off.
