Can't disengage traps no matter what I do when doing lat raises and face pulls.

I recently started seriously doing lat raises and face pulls for my shoulders. Everything went absolutely perfect, they blew up and I felt the burn like crazy. SUDDENLY, one day, I could not feel my delts being worked at all. All I feel since then are my traps. I do exactly the same form as before. I tried everything from lowering to increasing weight. I tried every form tip under the sun. My traps just don't disengage no matter what I do. Tried everything. Is this some sort of mind muscle problem? How the hell can something like this happen? I mean, from one day to the next? Its crazy and seriously makes me lose fun for my workouts.

Hope someone can guide me in the right direction.

Btw, im talking about dumbbell lat raises and ring face pulls. I workout at home.
