I'm having pain in my plantar fascia every time I jump rope, why?

After jumping rope for a time I always get pain in the bottom of my feet.

Every time I hit the ground, only the front halve of my foot makes contact with the ground, could this be the reason?

I try strengthening my shins/calves by stretching and balancing on 1 foot, does this help?
