Is it safe to follow 30 day workout plans?

The general rule of thumb is that if you workout a muscls group like your abs then give it the next 1-2 days off for protein synthesis to be effective.

However with these 30 day workouts they rarely give any rests and focus on intensively working the same muscle grouo everyday?
