Concerned about safety on big leg presses.

I've always had strong, stocky legs, but I never really pushed for major muscle gain in my workouts until about 5 months back when I decided to see just how much I could stack on a 45 degree leg press machine. When I started, I was pushing around 240kg, but I've increased that to 470kg (1050lb) now, and I'm still doing 10 reps as of this evening. I'd say it's not a full compression*, based on what I've seen online, but I'm getting my knees within a couple of fists of my chest. I'm 115kg (250lb), and 180cm (5'11") and that's the biggest I've ever been. Upper body is pretty muscly too so I don't look like this guy. In general I'm kind of proportional, albeit bulkier than most people my weight. I've noticed an increase in the speed of my gains in the last 2 months taking creatine and protein powders.

But I've now used all the bar space on the machine, and it's got me to the point where I'm concerned that I may be doing damage to myself, or at risk of it. I've got no serious pains, or notable issues, and I'm only doing this machine once every 4 days; using the in between gym day to do other leg exercises. The machine has a safety stop so it's not going to crush me if I somehow lose control. But there's nobody at the gym to ask what to do about such big weights and how to ensure I'm not doing something wrong.

I'm also doing calf raises with the same weight with a heel twisting motion, lifting the plate with my toes.

tl;dr; I'm pushing big weights with the leg press and I want some safety tips / advice.
