This may sound crazy, but I’m thinking of reducing my overall weights so I can do higher reps. I can bench, squat heavy (300, 450), but I can’t go more than 6 reps until I fail.
Also I’m starting to wonder if the heavy squatting is safe and will cause damage on my body later in life.
Anyway, what would happen if I reduce weight by maybe 25%? Will I lose muscle? Could I gain muscle from doing that and just repping higher?
I lift for aesthetics, not necessarily strength btw.
