Are there any programs or anything that aren't so intense?

Idk how to put this, but I guess I just get really turned off by how intense some people are in the fitness community. It's like everybody wants to push themselves to their limit. I'm sure not everybody is this way, and I am mostly referring to fitness media that I have seen, but it has been my experience so far. I want to make progress and stuff, and I'm not afraid to work hard, but the intensity makes me want to stay away. I guess I try to be a calm person and when I see people being so hyperbolic it low-key triggers me. Are there any fitness programs or resources that are just matter of fact and easygoing about how they present the information?
