IF after a break

I apologize if this is the wrong sub and I am also not educated on this which is why I’m asking. I used to do IF and had good results whether it was from IF or eating healthy and working out. Since then, I’ve gained like 35 pounds from eating horribly and not working out. My question is, if I wanted to start eating healthy and IF again, could I just hop right back into it or will it mess with my insulin or have any negative results to my body? TY
