No matter what I do, I still feel so lost when it comes to proper eating.

Hi everyone! I’m 19F, 5’3”, 121.9lbs with 28.1% body fat. My body is the definition of skinny fat with most of my fat being stored in my abdomen, upper back, and lower back (love handles galore!) I have always been interested in fitness and getting as lean and as toned as I can. Now just for the sake of this post and giving you more information, (because I know my body will never look EXACTLY like someone else’s) Megan Grubbs is a fitness model whose “Before” pictures match closely to my “Now”, and whose “After” matches closely to my goals. Since I have such a high body fat, I’ve chosen to cut first to get rid of at least some of the fat I carry. Now, I think my eating habits and nutrition is generally good but I’m easily overwhelmed and find myself getting stumped and worried over what to eat, my macros, my calories, etc. I’ve seen a lot of posts by other women who claim they have lost many months and even years of progress within their fitness journey to not being able to eat right and I don’t want that to be me. Even with marco and calorie calculators, I still feel like I’m doing something wrong. Currently, I do 4 to 5 days of strength training at the heaviest I can go, with some cardio thrown into the mix here and there since I also genuinely enjoy cardio. I generally burn up to 300-500 calories every work out. My food intake is set to as follows; 1,500 calories 113 g of carbs 131 g of protein 58 g of fat My “last 7 days” average was; 1,496 calories 131 g of carbs 98 g of protein 64 g of fat — I’m so sorry for this extremely generic question, but it’s been so hard for me not to get overwhelmed by all these opposing facts and opinions regarding fitness that I’m scared to break or worried I have broken, (like the worry of eating too many carbs), I just want to know if I’m eating alright. Not even necessarily for my goals, but just in a way where I’m not hurting myself. If it helps, my Myfitnesspal diary is set to public, and my username is PeachyKey. It would be nice to just be pointed in the right direction. Thank you!
