Going skiing and snowboarding for the very first time. What exercises should I do to best prepare myself?

First time hitting the slopes so I figured I would try both skiing and snowboarding to see which comes more natural.

I've being doing leg day once a week and will look to go twice a week now but want to make the most of those gruelling workouts. I also go to a light soccer training session twice a week.

Appreciate any responses.
