I've recently gone back to boxing and plan to focus on sprint intervals on my running machine between sessions at the club.
Bouts at my level are commonly 3x2 min rounds or 3x3 or 4x2 all with 1 min between rounds.
I plan to do 5x3min sprints, 1 min walking between rounds with a light 5 minute jog to warm up and cool down.
My question is whether it is best to do 5x3 from the start and build up the intensity over time or start with a very high intensity and work up to 3 mins?
Any other advice relating to this type of training will be appreciated.
